Petter Udland Johansen is born in Oslo, were he did His first acting and singing experiences. In 1996 he ended His diploma in singing, at Norges musikk Høyskole with the teachers Ingrid Bjoner and Svein Bjorkoy. The post diploma at Scola Cantorum Basiliensis he ended in 2000 with Richard Levitt and with the German tenor Hans Peter Blochwitz. Petter Udland Johansen Is asked for as well as an interpreter of early music, as he is at home on the Opera and Musical scene. He took part in Jordi Savalls production of Monteverdis „Orfeo“ at the Teatro Real in Madrid and Liceo Barcelona, sang King Minos in Händels „Arianna“ at the Scala Theater in Basel and he sang the roll of Bellmonte of Mozarts „Die Entführung“ at the Theater of Eggenfelden in Germany, Don Jose In Bizet’s “Carmen” in Oslo and Pastore in the opera Orfeo by Monteverdi at the national opera in Oslo with the conductor Rinaldo Alessandrini. He is well asked for as a singer of church music like masses and oratorios and he has been the Evangelist in Bach’s “The Christmas Oratorio” and “St John passion”(Paris and Bern), Bastianis “St Mathew passion” and Schütz “St John passion” And the Tenor soloist in “Carmina Burana” with the conductor Pep Prats In Barcelona and Mozart “Requiem” in Basel. He has done recordings with different groups like Ferrara, Lucidarium, Dominique Vellard, Sagene Ring and Pratum Musicum, with whom he made his first solo record in 2005, with the works of Carl Michael Bellman. He has been singing Jesus in “Jesus Christ Superstar” at the volkstheater Rostock, as Marius In “Les Miserables” at the Saarbrücken Staatstheater, and as Tony in “West Side Story” at The Aargauer musical theater. He also have a broad specter of chamber music programs with Arianna Savall (Soprano and Harp) Song recitals with music of Schubert, Schumann and Grieg with Jan Fredrik Heyerdal (Piano) German baroque songs with Jakob Ruppel (Lute) and church and contemporary music programs with Christer Lovold (Organ). Together with Christer Løevold and Adam Taubitz he has formed the group “Udland” witch perform modern music. |
